The workshop will start with an introduction to wine. For example, wine producing countries in the world and their styles. i.e.
-OLD WORLD: France (Burgundy, Bordeaux), Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal etc.
-NEW WORLD: Australia (Margret River), US (Napa, Oregon), Argentina, Chile etc.

Content:

-Grapes of the world and their characters.
-Introduction to Greece viniculture and its history.
-Wine tasting starts, small introduction of each winery in the tasting today.
-General Food and wine pairing and how to pair today’s tasting.

A systematic approach to wine tasting.

4. Finishing and how to determine the life of the wine

About the Speaker

Ms. Amanda Wong

A fervent wine enthusiast, marketeer, and blogger. Amanda has been in the wine and spirits industry since 2016 achieving the WSET level 3 in 2018. Her focus in exceeding her career within the wine industry led her to work with ASC Fine Wine (Suntory) and Sotheby’s Wine in the past, shaping a unique and extensive knowledge of the wine world. With her wine knowledge and marketing expertise, to date, she facilitated over 50 wine dinners, tastings, and trade fairs for wineries of different worlds like Trimbach, Laurent Perrier, Castello Banfi, and for many private membership clubs and restaurants like Pacific Club, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and Isola.

Remarks:

• All attendees must be 18 years old or above.
• Please arrive at the venue 15 mins in advance. The event will start at 12:00 pm prompt. No make-up session(s) will be arranged for late-comers.
• No outside food and drinks are allowed.
• Always pay attention to personal hygiene and clean hands frequently.
• Smoking is prohibited.
• Participants should take good care of personal belongings. The event provider and CFA Society Hong Kong are not responsible for any personal loss.
• Only registered participants are allowed to stay and attend the event.
• In the event of a dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong shall be final and binding.
• A refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$100 per person) will be given for cancellation received on or before 5 Mar 2023 (Sun).
• No refund will be given for cancellation received after 6 Mar 2023 (Mon).
• Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
• All cancellation and substitution requests must be made in writing and confirmed by email from CFA Society Hong Kong events@cfasocietyhongkong.org
• If you have any discomfort or flu symptoms, please DO NOT participate in this activity.
• Participants should not suffer from any health problems that are unfit for tasting alcohol. CFA Society Hong Kong is not liable for illness, foodborne illnesses or allergies of participants of the event.
