CFA® Program Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and Exam Updates

The COVID-19 pandemic has created challenges and uncertainty for CFA Program candidates and exam administrators. CFA Institute has made a number of changes to turn these challenges into positive opportunities.

CFA Institute is modernizing the exam to a computer-based testing (CBT) format to make it more accessible and convenient for candidates around the world. All Level [I/II/III] CFA Exam will shift from paper-based (PBT) to computer-based testing (CBT) starting in 2021.

We also understand you may have concerns about the upcoming exam arrangement with regards to COVID-19, and the options you have. Please find more information below.
