This briefing session is ideally scheduled right before our annual initiative, the Hong Kong local final of “CFA Institute Research Challenge” by making it a supplement for those who are interested in embarking on the career path towards investment bank.

Our speaker, Ms. Amy Luk, CFA, Investment and Investor Relations Director of Champion REIT, will share her insights on the following topics:

About the Speakers

Ms. Amy Luk, CFA
Investment and Investor Relations Director
Champion REIT

Ms. Amy Luk, CFA, is responsible for identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, overseeing the capital structure and investor relations of Champion REIT. She has over 10 years of experience in equity research covering the Hong Kong real estate sector at various international financial institutions, making recommendations on equity investments.

Ms. Luk holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She was honoured with the titles of Best Investor Relations Professional by Corporate Governance Asia and Best IRO by Hong Kong Investor Relations Association.

Mr. Alvin Ho, CFA

Mr. Alvin Ho, CFA, is an experienced investment principal with demonstrated track records in private equity. He is skilled in PE-styled investing, deal structuring, due diligence, corporate finance, IPO, and business re-engineering.  Acting as a managing director of a private investment vehicle, he looks to invest in several high growth sectors. Besides serving as a board member for several listed companies, he is also a member of the investment committees for several investment funds, platforms or foundations. Alvin was previously the legal representative or executive representative for the local currency funds incorporated in Beijing and Chengdu, and the Head of China for the private equity growth fund managed by the CLSA Capital Partners. The latter’s portfolios include companies that have grown into blue-chip status in various jurisdictions in Asia.

Alvin holds various post-graduate degrees from Tsinghua University and London Business School. He is currently an advisor to university programs. Alvin has authored two books in Chinese on the economics of sports, the latest being《超級巨星經濟學》 (or Superstar Economics).
