About the Speakers

David Tsoi, CFA, CAIA, FRM, CESGA, CAMS
Head of Index Research, APAC
Nasdaq

David Tsoi is the Head of Index Research, APAC at Nasdaq, spearheading the index research efforts in the Asia-Pacific region. The team provides research and insights on Nasdaq’s entire product suite, including U.S. and global broad-based, thematic, multi-factor and option indexes.
 
Before joining Nasdaq, David held the position of Vice President at Global X ETFs, a thematic ETF specialist owned by Mirae Asset. He was responsible for the product development of over 20 ETFs, including the world’s first Asia green bond ETF and Hong Kong’s first covered call ETFs. Prior to that, he worked in the Investment Products division of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), where he was involved in policy formulation for the asset management industry and product authorization, including the approval of Hong Kong’s first ESG ETF.
 
David holds an array of qualifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Joey Tang, CFA
Investment Banking and Private Banking Veteran

Joey Tang has over 24 years of experience in the investment banking industry. Since 1996, he has been engaged in proprietary trading of Asia Pacific equities at Peregrine Securities. In 1998, he served as the Head of the Greater China region for Citigroup Global Markets (formerly known as Salomon Brothers), leading the multi-asset structured investment solutions team, serving Asian clients (including private and retail banks, asset managers, securities houses, insurance companies, wealth managers), successfully transacted over US$10bn in tailor-made solutions.   
 
In April 2020, Joey joined Bank of China (Hong Kong) Private Banking as the Deputy General Manager, MD, Head of Funds and Alternative Investment, in order to further enhance the private bank’s investment platform capabilities as well as professionalism in serving clients.
 
Joey graduated from the University of Toronto in Canada in 1996 with double degrees in Finance and Economics. He also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification in 2001 and became the member of Career Development Committee at CFA Society Hong Kong since 2021.

Yuheng Li, CFA
Senior Director, Advisory APAC

Yuheng Li is a Senior Director at LRQA, where he leads the Sustainability/ESG consulting business in the APAC Region. As the team leader, he oversees a dedicated consultant group of over 40 full-time employees (FTEs) who are committed to supporting and expanding our regional ESG/Sustainability initiatives. Through close collaboration with other teams, he works diligently to achieve our collective objectives and promote the sustainable development of our clients’ operations globally.
 
Before joining LRQA, Yuheng held positions at iResearch, Accenture, Kantar Consulting, and Nielsen Advisory, accumulating extensive experience of over 18 years in strategy and management consulting. His diverse background spans across the TMT, Financial, and Consumer Sectors, where he has acquired invaluable expertise in Business Strategy, Sustainability/ESG initiatives, Digital Transformation, and Innovation.
 
Yuheng’s qualifications include prestigious designations such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM), in addition to several certifications in the field of Sustainability and ESG. He further enhanced his knowledge by obtaining an MBA Degree from Columbia Business School. Currently based at the LRQA Hong Kong Office, he brings his expertise to bear in serving our valued clients in the APAC region.
