About the Speaker:

Mr. Doug Carroll, CFA

CFA Instructor 

Doug has been involved in financial education and conducting investment training seminars in major financial centers around the globe for more than three decades.  His varied experiences in sales, trading and investment management allow him to draw upon an unusually broad range of professional activities in demonstrating the practical applications of training program content. This is supplemented by a rigorous grounding in the legal, regulatory and theoretical aspects of financial markets gained while earning numerous professional licenses and pertinent degrees.

Doug has extensive experience developing and delivering investment-related training programs. Topics have run the gamut from “Introduction to the Securities Markets” for industry neophytes to “Advanced Derivatives” for portfolio managers and trading desk personnel. He has presented training programs in most of the major financial centers in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

About the Emcee:

Mr. Zap Cheng, CFA

Candidate Services Committee Vice-chair

Zap is the Vice-Chair of Candidate Services Committee in CFA Society Hong Kong with solid experience as study group leaders to help the Hong Kong and Macau candidates to pass the CFA professional exams in Level I, II & III.  Besides the CFA Charterholder qualification, he is also a qualified accountant with a master’s degree on Corporate Finance.

With around 20 years professional experience in the industry,  Zap is currently working in a global top-tier FinTech company. His duties mainly focus on design, implementation and enhancement of miscellaneous compliance, financial reporting, valuation, liability modelling system in insurance & banking sector within APAC & EMEA region.
