As we approach the 2024 U.S. presidential election, the investment landscape is poised for significant shifts. This session will provide insights and tools needed to capitalize on the opportunities and mitigate the risks associated with the U.S. market and the presidential election.

Dr. Tim Edwards, Global Head of Index Investment Strategies at S&P Dow Jones Indices will provide a comprehensive overview of the U.S. market, focusing on both broad market and sector performance, and the potential implications of the upcoming election on investment strategies. Dr. Edwards will delve into in-depth analysis on how different sectors have performed during previous election cycles and economic conditions, offering insights into what investors might watch in the coming months. In addition, Dr. Edwards will explore the benefits of using index-based investment including ETFs, mutual funds, and derivatives such as futures and options, to navigate this complex environment. By leveraging indices like the S&P 500, U.S. select sectors, and equal weight strategies, investors can gain a broad market perspective while also targeting specific sectors that may help them position their portfolio effectively in the post-election period.

Sandwiches and drinks will be served at the event.
