About the Speakers
Allan Wong
Head of Actuarial GenAI

Allan Wong leads Actuarial GenAI projects and initiatives at FWD as part of the larger Digital Platforms and GenAI team. He is responsible for advancing Generative AI usage among the FWD Actuaries as well as building in-house GenAI platforms and products.
Before joining the team at FWD, Allan worked as a Product Manager for an Insurtech after having spent more than a decade in traditional actuarial roles such as modeling, pricing, and valuation.
Allan brings a unique and grounded perspective to GenAI applications in the actuarial domain. He's been a model owner, constructed a reinsurance basis, and led an engineering team to build and ship software. Most importantly, he is committed to helping his fellow actuaries cut through the hype of emerging technology to find concrete ways to use it in their work.
Rick Zhan
Portfolio Manager
Lingjun Asset Management
Rick Zhan is currently a Portfolio Manager at Lingjun Investment, one of the top Quantitative Hedge Funds in China. He manages RMB 5 billion+ in China A-shares equity funds. His team leverages machine learning, deep learning, and AI to generate excess returns for investors.
Rick previously served as Vice President of Quantitative Research at Two Sigma. Prior to that, he worked at State Street on execution research and at Sun Life in ALM and Quantitative Risk Management.
Rick holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s degree in Finance from MIT. He is also a CFA charterholder and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
About the Moderator
David Tsoi, CFA, CAIA, FRM, CESGA, CAMS

David Tsoi is the Head of Index Research, APAC at Nasdaq, spearheading the index research efforts in the Asia-Pacific region. The team provides research and insights on Nasdaq’s entire product suite, including U.S. and global broad-based, thematic, multi-factor and option indexes.
Before joining Nasdaq, David held the position of Vice President at Global X ETFs, a thematic ETF specialist owned by Mirae Asset. He was responsible for the product development of over 20 ETFs, including the world’s first Asia green bond ETF and Hong Kong's first covered call ETFs. Prior to that, he worked in the Investment Products division of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), where he was involved in policy formulation for the asset management industry and product authorization, including the approval of Hong Kong’s first ESG ETF.
David holds an array of qualifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Remarks
- Advance registration is mandatory; walk-in participants will not be accommodated.
- Only registered participants will be admitted to and allowed to remain at the venue.
- Registration is confirmed only upon successful payment and receipt of a confirmation email. Registrations with incomplete payments or unsuccessful transactions will not be processed.

- If you are unable to attend, please inform the Society at your earliest convenience so that the seat may be offered to another member. Failure to attend without providing prior notice to the Society may impact your eligibility to register for or participate in future Society events.
- An administration fee of HK$50 will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before 25 January 2026 (Sunday). All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from the Society. For payment made by credit card, a refund will be handled through the bank, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account.
- No refund will be given for cancellation received after 25 January 2026 (Sunday).
- Substitutions are allowed; however, non-member rate will apply if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member. Please notify us on or before 25 January 2026 (Sunday) if you would like to arrange a substitution.
- Attendees experiencing any discomfort or flu-like symptoms are requested to refrain from attending this event.
- Attendees must comply with all venue policies, including but not limited to health and safety protocols.
