Golf Fun Day 2026

Join us for a fun-filled day of golf, networking, and professional connections at the beautiful Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course. Whether you are an experienced golfer looking to enjoy a full 18-hole round or someone who is new to the game and interested in learning, there is a track designed for you.

The CFA Society Hong Kong Golf Fun Day is designed to bring together members and guests through a shared golf and networking experience. Participants may choose from two event tracks according to their golfing experience and skill level:

Track A: On-Course 18-Hole Golf
Designed for experienced golfers who possess an official handicap or sufficient on-course playing experience.

Track B: Golf Discovery Experience
A beginner-friendly golf experience featuring professional coaching at the driving range, buffet lunch, and networking opportunities.

Both tracks will begin together and form part of the same CFA Society Hong Kong member engagement event.

Venue: The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course
Ferry Departure Point: Sai Kung Public Pier - Golf Course Pier
Meeting Time: 10:00 am
Event Format: Two parallel participation tracks
Dress Code: Golfers are asked to observe an appropriate standard of dress for golf. Whilst KSC has a generally relaxed attitude to dress code on the golf courses, denims, singlets, torn clothing or open toed shoes are not permitted.

Which Track Is Right for You?

Track A: On-Course 18-Hole Golf

Duration: Approximately 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Capacity: 12 participants

Experience includes:

• Play on Kau Sai Chau South Course
• Networking with fellow members during the round
• Tee-off from approximately 12:02 p.m.
• Full on-course golfing experience
• Complimentary round-trip ferry transportation between Kau Sai Chau and Sai Kung
• Lunch is NOT included in the package. The participants may have a quick lunch during the warm-up and preparation period before the tee-time.

Recommended for:

• Holds an official handicap or has credible prior on-course experience
• Understands golf etiquette and safety requirements
• Can maintain an appropriate pace of play
• Can complete a round independently without requiring on-course instruction
• Is comfortable participating in a group golf outing environment

Eligibility Criteria - Applicants should satisfy at least one of the following:

• Hold an official USGA Handicap Index or equivalent recognised handicap certification.
• Have completed multiple 9-hole or 18-hole rounds and be able to provide details of golfing experience.

Notes:

• Participants are required to bring their own golf clubs. Club rental services are also available at the golf course.
• Please refer to the Track A Application Process for the full details.

Track B: Golf Discovery Experience

Duration: Approximately 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Capacity: 30 participants

Experience Includes:

• One-hour professional coaching session at the driving range
• Buffet lunch
• Networking with fellow CFA Society Hong Kong members and guests
• Golf clubs are provided
• Complimentary round-trip ferry transportation between Kau Sai Chau and Sai Kung
• No handicap or prior on-course experience required

Recommended for:

• Beginners
• Casual golfers
• Individuals interested in learning golf
• Participants without golf course experience

Track A Application Process

Due to limited capacity and the need to verify player suitability, all Track A registrations will initially be placed on a waitlist. Submitting a registration for Track A does not guarantee a place. Applicants will only receive a confirmation after:

1. Providing sufficient information regarding their playing background and/or handicap by submitting a separate Application Form:
   Track A Application Form
2. Being assessed as meeting the Track A eligibility requirements.
3. Being allocated an available place.

Important Notes for Track A Registrants:

1. The Society may recommend Track B where a Track A applicant may not yet be ready for an on-course 18-hole round and Track B is still open for registrations.
2. The Society's decision regarding eligibility and participant allocation will be final.
3. The application results will be communicated via email. Successful applicants will be required to complete payment within 48 hours of receiving the notification email. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the seat may be reallocated to other eligible members. A place is considered confirmed only upon receipt of payment.

Remarks

1. Registration is mandatory; no walk-ins will be entertained. Only registered participants are allowed to stay and attend the event.
2. For paid events, registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment. If the registration fee remains outstanding, CFA Society Hong Kong reserves the right to disallow entrance to the event.
3. Cash and cheque payments are strictly not accepted. Participants should ensure that online payment is successfully completed; otherwise, registration may not be processed.
4. Early bird rates are available until 2:00 p.m. (HKT) on 9 October 2026.
   • For Track A, interested participants must join the waitlist and submit the application form by 2:00 p.m. (HKT) on 2 October 2026 to be eligible for the early bird rates. Following the review of applications by the event organizer, applicants will be notified of the results by email on or before 2:00 p.m. (HKT) on 7 October 2026. Successful applicants must complete their payment by 2:00 p.m. (HKT) on 9 October 2026 to enjoy the early bird rates.
5. An administration fee of 50% of the registration fee will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before 27 November 2026. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and confirmed by email from CFA Society Hong Kong. A refund of the event fee, less the administration fee of 50% of the registration fee per person, will be issued for eligible cancellations. The full event fee will be charged for no-shows or cancellation requests after 27 November 2026.
6. For payments made by credit card, eligible refunds will be processed through the bank, and participants should allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account.
7. Substitutions are allowed, but participants must notify CFA Society Hong Kong prior to the event. Any fee difference resulting from ticket type or the early bird period must be settled to confirm the substitute's registration and seat.
8. Any disputes relating to the event’s on-site arrangements must be resolved directly between the participant and The Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course. The Society shall bear no responsibility for, and will not participate in or mediate, any such disputes.
9. If participants experience any discomfort or flu symptoms, they should not participate in the event.
10. Participants should take good care of their belongings. CFA Society Hong Kong is not responsible for any personal loss.
11. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, participants are expected to treat fellow attendees with respect. Abusive or threatening behavior will not be tolerated, and individuals who behave inappropriately may be asked to leave the event.
12. In the event of a dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong shall be final and binding.
13. Should there be any changes to the event dates or other arrangements, participants will be notified via SMS and/or email. Notices will also be posted on the CFA Society Hong Kong’s website, so participants should stay alert for notifications.
14. The event organizers reserve the right to change the format or date of the event due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
