CFA Society Hong Kong & Trailsweeper - Trail Clean-Up Activity

CFA Society Hong Kong's Member Services Committee, in collaboration with Trailsweeper—an organization dedicated to preserving and protecting hiking trails—to host a Trail Clean-Up Activity.

This initiative combines the joy of hiking with a shared commitment to environmental stewardship. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy scenic trails while actively contributing to their upkeep by removing debris and ensuring these natural paths remain safe and beautiful for all.

The clean-up activity consists of eight different routes, and the CFA Society Hong Kong Team is responsible for one of the routes.

Route: Wong Nai Tau Bus Terminus > Flower Heart Stone > Sha Tin Country Trail > Mui Fa Ancient Trail > Nui Po Au> Mui Tsz Lam Village > Ma On Shan Village Road > Ma On Shan Country Park Management Centre

Estimated Finish Time: 13:00

After completion, we will record the amount of collected trash. Once all Eight-Route Cleanup teams gather, there will be a certificate presentation and a joint Trail Cleanup Declaration ceremony.

小部分路段較有挑戰，請穿防滑行山鞋及長褲，並帶備手套，請自行評估能力才報名。

🔹自備乾糧與充足飲用水(最少1.5公升,出發前隊長檢查,帶水不足者,將不獲隨隊出發)。

🔹如活動當天上午7時,天文台仍然維持任何暴雨,3號或以上暴風或涵蓋活動區域的雷暴警告,活動將會取消。

🔹就個人衛生注意事項:

-若有任何不適或流感徵狀,切勿參與活動。

Important Notes:

• Some sections are challenging. Please wear non-slip hiking shoes and long pants, and bring gloves. Assess your ability before registering.
• Bring your own snacks and sufficient drinking water (at least 1.5 liters). Team leaders will check before departure; those without enough water will not be allowed to join.
• If the Observatory maintains any Black Rainstorm Warning, Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above or Thunderstorm Warning covering the activity area at 7:00am on the event day, the event will be cancelled.
• For personal hygiene: Do not participate if you feel unwell or have flu symptoms.

Remarks

• Registration is requested, no walk-in will be entertained. Only registered participants are allowed to stay and attend the event.
• Please take good care of your belongings. CFA Society Hong Kong is not responsible for any personal loss.
• CFA Societies Global Passport Program Eligible.
• Should there be any changes to the event dates and other arrangements, we will notify participants via SMS and/or email.  Notices will also be posted on Society’s website.  Please stay alert with our notifications.
• In the event of a dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong shall be final and binding.
• The event organizers reserve the right to change the format, date of the event due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
