About the Speaker

Ernest Leung is the President & Group Chief Operating Officer at WeLab, a leading pan-Asian fintech platform with nearly 70 million individual users in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Indonesia. It operates one of the largest digital consumer finance businesses in Asia, two digital banks and a fast-growing B2B fintech enterprise solutions business.
Leveraging game-changing technology such as proprietary risk management technology, patented privacy computing techniques, and advanced AI capabilities, WeLab offers mobile-based financing solutions and digital banking services to retail individuals and technology solutions to enterprise customers.
Ernest has 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Prior to joining WeLab, Ernest was the Singapore CEO and APAC COO at BNP Paribas Wealth Management. Ernest previously held a number of leadership roles across key Asia markets with extensive experience ranging from corporate strategy, business creation and transformation, to chief executive and board responsibilities across consumer & private banking.
Ernest holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia, Canada.

- To qualify for CPT/CE hours, all participants must attend the full event. After the seminar, Society staff will verify participants’ check-in and check-out time from the registration system for the purpose of issuing CPT Attendance Letters. No pro-rata credit hours will be awarded.

- The event will be conducted in English.
- For attendance-taking purpose, participants’ names and company names (if any) may be given to the speaker of this event.
- Should there be any changes to the event dates and other arrangements, we will notify participants via SMS and/or email. Notices will also be posted on Society’s website. Please stay alert with our notifications.
- Please note that no request for an attendance letter will be processed after the event date & registration deadline.
- For members, non-members & guests, registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment.
- To cope with the growing trend of going cashless, cash and cheque payment is strictly not accepted. Please ensure the online payment is successfully completed, otherwise, the registration may not be processed.
- Registrations should be paid in full before the commencement of the event. Immediate payment is required upon email confirmation. Should the registration fee remains outstanding, CFA Society Hong Kong reserves the right to disallow entrance to the event.
- Full amount will still be charged for no-show or enrolment made after 21 July 2025.
- An administration fee HK$50 will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before 21 July 2025. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from Society Hong Kong.
- Refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$50 per person) will be given for cancellation received on/before 21 July 2025.
– For payment made by credit card, a refund will be handled through the bank, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account. - No refund will be given for cancellation received after 21 July 2025.
- Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
