Role-playing Social Games (劇本殺)

The game is a role-playing game in which different people play different roles in a story and work together to resolve puzzles or achieve missions.
There are usually 7 stages of the game: (1) character selection, (2) script reading, (3) clue search, (4) round-table discussion, (5) voting, (6) truth reveal, and (7) case review.
Before the game begins, each player will choose a different character and obtain the corresponding script and clues.
In the game, the information obtained by each player is relatively limited and one-sided. There are even secrets to be hidden from each other. Hence, players need to collect information and deduce the complete story through interactions with others.

Date and Time: 2 pm-6 pm, 15 Oct (Sat)
Venue: 15/F SB Commercial Building, Yau Ma Tei. (3-min walk from Exit C of Yau Ma Tei MTR station)
Fee: HKD 180 per person CFA Society Hong Kong Member ;
HKD 260 per person Guest/Non-member
(including 4 hours of the game and free flow of water and soft drinks)
Language: Cantonese or Mandarin
Capacity: 20 ppl

Remarks:

1. We will form 3-4 groups depending on the no of participants.
2. The games will be conducted in Cantonese or Mandarin.
3. We will select stories across different genres (flexible to change if participants have other choices).
   Per the government’s latest “Vaccine Pass” arrangement under the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance, from 24 February 2022 onwards, all participants attending the workshop must have received three doses of Covid-19 vaccination from May 31 onwards. For recovered persons aged 12 or above, if they have received the second or the third dose vaccine before infection, or are within six months after their recovery, there is no additional vaccination requirement under Vaccine Pass. For recovered persons aged 12 or above who recovered more than six months ago and did not receive any vaccine before infection. They need to receive the first vaccine dose in order to use Vaccine Pass.
4. Guests need to show your COVID-19 Vaccination Record, either electronic or paper record. Guests who fail to present it cannot enter the society office unless they fall within the exemption with relevant supporting evidence shown. In this case, CFA Society Hong Kong will not refund the workshop fee.
5. The exact requirement is subject to the anti-Covid regulation issued by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR covering the date of the event.
6. If you have any discomfort or flu symptoms, please DO NOT participate in this activity.
7. Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
8. All cancellation and substitution requests must be made in writing and confirmed by email from CFA Society Hong Kong events@cfasocietyhongkong.org
9. No refund will be given for cancellation received after 10 Oct (Mon).
10. A refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$100 per person) will be given for cancellation received on or before 10 Oct (Mon).
11. Only registered participants are allowed to stay and attend the event.
12. In the event of a dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong shall be final and binding.
13. Participants should take good care of personal belongings. The event provider and CFA Society Hong Kong are not responsible for any personal loss.
14. Always pay attention to personal hygiene and clean hands frequently.
15. All attendees must be 18 years old or above.
