A Scenic Hike on the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail and the Red Leaves

As embark on the new year, let's come together to relax, make new friends, challenge ourselves, and start 2026 on a high note. We are excited to invite you to join us for an unforgettable hiking adventure on the Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail and in the Tai Tong Sweet Gum Woods (the Red Leaves). This event is a fantastic opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Hong Kong while enjoying the company of fellow CFA members. Along the way, you will experience breathtaking views, picturesque landscapes, and the chance to encounter cute animals.

• Nature and Exercise:
  This is a great way to get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful scenery and fresh air.
• Networking:
  Meet and connect with other CFA members in a fun and relaxed setting.
• Photography:
  Capture amazing photos of the urban landscapes, red leaves, and other natural wonders.
• Flexible Itinerary:
  We have set up three exit options with different levels of difficulty, allowing participants to choose the distance they wish to hike based on their time availability and physical condition.

-       Option 1: Exit at C6103 Shek Lung Kung (石龍拱) and return to the starting point (3.5 hours).

-       Option 2: Exit at C6112 via Tsing Fai Tong (清快塘) to Sham Tseng Village (深井村) for famous roast goose (5 hours).

-       Option 3: Complete the full trail and exit at the end of the trip (7 hours).

• Adventure:
  Challenge yourself and complete the trail with a sense of accomplishment.

Remarks

• Registration is requested, no walk-in will be entertained.
• Only registered participants are allowed to stay and attend the event.
• The captioned outdoor activity is free and on a voluntary basis, participants shall bear their own risks and responsibilities during the activity. It is reminded that all participants should take out adequate insurance for your own financial and personal security. 
• The event will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 3, No. 8 or No. 10 or any rainstorm warning is hoisted before 7:00 AM on the event day. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled to 17 Jan 2026 (Sat).
• Please take good care of your belongings. CFA Society Hong Kong is not responsible for any personal loss.
• If you have any discomfort or flu symptoms, please DO NOT participate in the captioned activity.
• In the event of a dispute, the decision of CFA Society Hong Kong shall be final and binding.
• The event organizers reserve the right to change the format, date of the event due to unforeseen circumstances without prior notice.
