Exchange traded funds (“ETFs”) have become essential building blocks for constructing diversified investment portfolios, the global ETF market has achieved record net inflows for five consecutive years, and global inflows into ETF are on course to surge to new record highs this year, growing in relevance among both retail and institutional investors. ETFs are flexible tools that can be accessed for traditional beta exposure or utilized as precision tools to tailor bespoke outcome-driven investment solutions. At this luncheon, we will have Christopher Hamilton, Invesco head of Client Solutions, Asia Pacific ex Japan and Chris Crea, Invesco ETF Strategist to address the following:
1. How ETFs are being used by different investors today?
2. How can ETFs help investors meet investment outcomes?
3. How can investors generate Alpha in ETF spaces?

About the Speakers
Christopher Crea
Associate Director, ETF Strategist
Invesco
Christopher Crea joined Invesco in 2022 and is responsible for promoting the global Invesco ETF range to clients across Asia Pacific. Chris previously worked for BlackRock as part of the APAC Portfolio Consulting team where he constructed multi-asset portfolios, predominantly in ETFs, using a risk lens to meet client investment outcomes. Prior to this, Chris was part of the iShares ETF and Indexing product team based in Australia where he developed, launched, and maintained new and existing ETFs. Chris holds a B.Sc. in Physics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Statistics, both from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
Christopher Hamilton, CFA®, CAIA
Head of Client Solutions, Asia Pacific ex Japan
Invesco
Christopher Hamilton is Head of Client Solutions, Asia Pacific ex Japan, for Invesco’s Investment Solutions (IIS) team. In this role, his responsibilities include guiding clients on asset allocation and portfolio construction and implementing customized multi-asset investment strategies. He leads the engagement effort for key institutional investors and financial intermediaries to formulate outcome-oriented investment solutions tailored to client-specific dimensions.
Mr. Hamilton joined Invesco in 2015. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as head of portfolio advisory and senior solutions strategist for IIS, where he was responsible for providing multi-asset portfolio construction research and guidance and custom investment solutions to institutions and wealth management intermediaries across North America. Previously, Mr. Hamilton was director, portfolio advisory for IIS, where he built and led the advisory solutions platform in North America. Before joining the firm, he was director of business analysis for Phillips 66, where he engaged in merger, acquisition, and divestiture efforts, and capital markets activities. He also held multiple investment management roles for Bank of America.
Mr. Hamilton earned a BA degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Rice University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charterholder and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) professional.

- Please note that no request for an attendance letter will be processed after the event date & registration deadline.
- For members, non-members & guests, registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment.
- To cope with the growing trend of going cashless, cash and cheque payment is strictly not accepted. Please ensure the online payment is successfully completed, otherwise, the registration may not be processed.
- Registrations should be paid in full before the commencement of the event. Immediate payment is required upon email confirmation. Should the registration fee remains outstanding, CFA Society Hong Kong reserves the right to disallow entrance to the event.
- Full amount will still be charged for no-show or enrolment made after 4 Nov 2024.
- An administration fee HK$50 will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before 4 Nov 2024. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from Society Hong Kong.
- Refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$50 per person) will be given for cancellation received on/before 4 Nov 2024.
– For payment made by credit card, a refund will be handled through the bank, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account. - No refund will be given for cancellation received after 4 Nov 2024.
- Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
