This luncheon will explore the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and its implications for the economy in the intermediate and longer term. Experts from real estate, consumer, and public policy will discuss the key risks businesses have faced, as well as the new opportunities arising from shifts in consumer behavior, demographics, interest rates, and government policies.

Sandwiches and drinks will be served at the event.

About the Speakers

Stanley Wong
Co-Head, Senior Executive Director, Hong Kong Capital Markets & Investment Services
Colliers

Stanley has over 24 years’ experience in the property investment market.Prior to joining Colliers, Stanley was the Executive Director and former Head of Capital Markets, Hong Kong at CBRE from 2012 to 2020. He also has key experience working in the Investment Department at Jones Lane LaSalle and DTZ from 2001 to 2012.  During his 8 years at CBRE, he handled over HK$8-billion in transactions and focused mainly on enbloc buildings and retail podiums. Stanley also devoted his time to handling tenders/ auctions for major property portfolio, enbloc buildings, development sites, major shopping centres, Grade A offices, luxurious residences, etc.    
 
He is a chartered surveyor with the membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and the membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He is also the Member of Registered Professional Surveyor (General Practice).
 
Stanley graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor Degree in Surveying and obtained a MBA Degree from the University of Hong Kong.

Victor Kwok

Our Hong Kong Foundation

Victor Kwok oversees Education, Youth, Technology and Greater Bay Area research at Our Hong Kong Foundation. He is a member of the HKSAR Government Steering Committee on Promotion of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) and Qualifications Framework (QF). He led and published numerous policy research reports on education, youth, technology, and Greater Bay Area, and advocated a series of actionable recommendations to raise talent competitiveness, drive industry growth, and to respond to societal development needs. Victor engages in extensive policy advocacy work, as a contributor to the Futures of Education initiative by the UNESCO International Commission, and as a speaker and panellist in various local and international educational summits, television, and other media channels. He is also a content contributor to leading local press and academic journals. 

Prior to joining OHKF, Victor worked at the Investment Banking Division of Barclays, where he devised structured derivatives solutions for multinational corporate clients across Southeast Asia and Greater China.   

Victor has deep passion for community service. He is a member of the Liaoning Youth Federation. He is invited by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Federation of Self-financing Tertiary Education as an advisor to numerous programmes. In addition, as Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Aerospace Leaders Association, he organised an aerospace programme involving 8 secondary schools and over 200 students, assisted schools to set up aerospace laboratories and update their STEM curricula.  Victor graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a BBA in Global Business Studies, and obtained a Master of Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong. He scored 10 A’s in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and had received Executive Leadership Education from the Harvard Business School.

Fung Shing Restaurant Group is a long-standing champion of Shun Tak cuisine with 70 years of history. With the meticulous handwork from master chef, homegrown flavors and mellow delicacies presented, Fung Shing is an award winning and leading traditional Shunde cuisine restaurant in Hong Kong.

He is a CPA with the membership of CPA Australia.

Chris graduated from The University of Warwick with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance and obtained a Master Degree from The London School of Economics.

  • For attendance-taking purpose, participants’ names and company names (if any) may be given to the speaker of this event.
  • Should there be any changes to the event dates and other arrangements, we will notify participants via SMS and/or email.  Notices will also be posted on Society’s website.  Please stay alert with our notifications.
  • Please note that no request for an attendance letter will be processed after the event date & registration deadline.
  • For members, non-members & guests, registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment. 
  • To cope with the growing trend of going cashless, cash and cheque payment is strictly not accepted.  Please ensure the online payment is successfully completed, otherwise, the registration may not be processed.
  • Registrations should be paid in full before the commencement of the event. Immediate payment is required upon email confirmation. Should the registration fee remains outstanding, CFA Society Hong Kong reserves the right to disallow entrance to the event.
  • Full amount will still be charged for no-show or enrolment made after 23 Sep 2024.
  • An administration fee HK$50 will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before 23 Sep 2024. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from Society Hong Kong.
  • Refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$50 per person) will be given for cancellation received on/before 23 Sep 2024.
    – For payment made by credit card, a refund will be handled through the bank, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account. 
  • No refund will be given for cancellation received after 23 Sep 2024.
  • Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
