Joint Volleyball Fun Day with HKICPA

Volleyball is a fantastic way to stay active and healthy. It improves cardiovascular fitness, enhances muscle and strength. Plus, it’s a fun way to burn calories and stay fit!

Whether you’re a seasoned player or a beginner, don’t miss out on this unique fun filled event with friendly competition, team spirit, and networking opportunities to bond with professional peers and make new connections. See you on the court!

The event will be co-hosted with HKICPA (Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants) on a Saturday afternoon in end September, with the exact date to be announced once the court booking is confirmed approximately one week in advance.

Event Details:

Date* and Time: A Saturday afternoon in end Sep 2024

(With the exact date depending on the court booking confirmation.)

Venue: Volleyball Court at either private institutions or facilities managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Fee: Approx. $100 per person (subject to change based on the number of participants; the ticket price below is currently set as “free” for registration purposes only).

Remarks:

• The event fee will be collected approx. 5 days before the event. Only those who have fully paid will be permitted to attend. Society staff will send the payment link via email to participants for completing the payment. 
• Participants who do not complete the online payment at least 3 working days before the event, their registrations will be forfeited, and they will not be eligible to join the event.
• Payments via cash or cheque are not accepted.
• Walk-ins will not be accepted.
• Any enrolment in the activity is based on the participant’s assessment that he/she is fit to participate and the assumption of all the risks and hazards inherent in the said activity. The participant agrees not to hold CFA Society Hong Kong and other organisers liable for any loss or damage that the participant may suffer as a result of the participation.
• Please make sure to arrange your own insurance for this sports event, as the society will not be providing coverage for this.
• Please note that this event may be cancelled if the minimum number of participants, i.e. six, is not met.
• Bad weather arrangement: The activity will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted 2 hours prior to the commencement of the event. 
• Please ensure you arrive at the volleyball court on time.

Event Policy:

• All participants must comply with the safety instructions given by the organizers.
• If you have any discomfort or flu symptoms, please DO NOT participate in the captioned activity.
• The Society reserves the right to cancel the activity due to any unforeseen circumstances.
• All participants are required to agree to the “Liability Declaration” during the online registration process.  Please note that if you choose to participate in this activity, you do so at your own risk. In consideration of being allowed to participate in this activity, you agree that in no activity shall CFA Society Hong Kong, its staff and committee members, and/or any other person assisting CFA Society Hong Kong (collectively, the “Releasees”) with this activity have any responsibility whatsoever for any and all injuries (including death) suffered by you during this activity and/or for any and all resulting loss and/or damages of whatsoever nature and you agree to release each such person (or entity) from any liability whatsoever for any and such loss, damages, and injuries (including death) howsoever arising from your participation in this activity.
• If you suffer from any illness, medical condition, or disability, please consult your physician before participating in the subject activity. This disclaimer of liability applies to any and all loss, damages, and/or injury, including but not limited to those caused by any act of negligence on the part of any of the Releasees or on the part of any agent or deemed agent of any of the Releasees.
• By registering for this event, you confirm that you and your guest(s) consent to appearing in any official event photographs and video footage.
• The photographs and video footage can be used by the Society for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media, or in a third-party publication.
• In addition, photographs or video footage may be taken by other event attendees and publicly shared, for which the Society cannot be held responsible.

• Your personal data collected from the registration process will be used for the purpose of the administration of the course/event/activity on which you are registered (“Event”). Such data collected may be accessible by CFA Society Hong Kong’s officers, persons or committees processing the application and related matters.
