The Career Development Committee of CFA Society Hong Kong is offering our members opportunities to engage with leading corporates in the financial services industry, to better understand the latest developments in their organizations, as well as career opportunities as they are also looking to strengthen their workforce. At different sessions of our “Career Fair Series”, speakers will present an overview of their business, insights into their corporate cultures, career development trends in the investment industry, and current opportunities available for CFA charterholders / members.
At this session of the Career Fair Series, subject matter experts from KPMG will share with us the career development opportunities for CFA charterholders on transfer pricing (TP).
Thanks to the OECD mega project on Base Erosion Profit Shifting (BEPS), TP is now a buzzword in business and tax consulting. Cost for the remedial actions for failure to comply with the TP requirements could be huge. Therefore, Multinational corporations (MNC) with cross border activities have been spending enormous resources on complying with the TP requirements. The recent agreement reached by G7 on the global minimum tax rate is also a milestone of the BEPS development.
Speakers in this seminar will share with us:
– Why is TP relevant to MNC? The key elements of the TP regulatory framework that MNCs need to comply with
– Why are good modelling skills, knowledge on economics and data analytics relevant to TP and business consultants?
– The career development trends for TP professionals
– The KPMG culture and what they are looking for
Ways for exploring or joining the workforces of KPMG will be provided at the event.
