About the Speakers

Andrew Fei 
Partner
King & Wood Mallesons

Andrew Fei is a partner at law firm King & Wood Mallesons in Hong Kong. He has over 15 years of experience in tokenisation, digital assets, capital markets, structured finance, derivatives, syndicated lending and financial regulation. Andrew has published over 100 articles on these topics and is regularly quoted as an expert in the international press, including the Financial Times, New York Times, International Financial Law Review, Risk.net and South China Morning Post. He holds a master of laws degree from Harvard Law School, and master and bachelor of laws degrees (double first class honours) from Cambridge University, where he ranked second in his class. Andrew is a native speaker of both Chinese Mandarin and English, and is qualified to practise law in New York and Hong Kong. In addition to his full-time legal practice, Andrew teaches banking law at the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law.

 

Brian Xin
Founder & CEO

Brian Xin is the founder and CEO of Uptick Network, pioneering "Web3 Infrastructure for the Real Economy." His career spans key leadership roles across tech and internet sectors: Founder and CEO of StarryMedia; CTO of Microsoft MSN China; CTO of iKang Healthcare; VP of Technology at Linktone. In the early days of the internet, he co-founded RivalWatch in Silicon Valley—a cutting-edge technology  company in online business competitive intelligence (BI)—serving as Co-founder and CTO.

Brian holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University. He is a senior member of the Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC),  past President of the Tsinghua Alumni Association of Northern California.

  • To qualify for CPT/CE hours, all participants must attend the full event. After the seminar, Society staff will verify participants’ check-in and check-out time from the registration system for the purpose of issuing CPT Attendance Letters. No pro-rata credit hours will be awarded.

  • The event will be conducted in English.
  • For attendance-taking purpose, participants’ names and company names (if any) may be given to the speaker of this event.
  • Should there be any changes to the event dates and other arrangements, we will notify participants via SMS and/or email.  Notices will also be posted on Society’s website.  Please stay alert with our notifications.
  • Please note that no request for an attendance letter will be processed after the event date & registration deadline.
  • For members, non-members & guests, registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment. 
  • To cope with the growing trend of going cashless, cash and cheque payment is strictly not accepted.  Please ensure the online payment is successfully completed, otherwise, the registration may not be processed.
  • Registrations should be paid in full before the commencement of the event. Immediate payment is required upon email confirmation. Should the registration fee remains outstanding, CFA Society Hong Kong reserves the right to disallow entrance to the event.
  • Full amount will still be charged for no-show or enrolment made after 4 Aug 2025.
  • An administration fee HK$50 will be charged for any cancellation of confirmed enrollment made on or before 4 Aug 2025. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and be confirmed by email from Society Hong Kong.
  • Refund of the event fee (less an administration fee of HK$50 per person) will be given for cancellation received on/before 4 Aug 2025.
    – For payment made by credit card, a refund will be handled through the bank, please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. The amount will be refunded to the paid credit card account. 
  • No refund will be given for cancellation received after 4 Aug 2025.
  • Substitutions are allowed. Please notify us prior to the event. Non-member rate applies if the substitute is not a CFA Society Hong Kong member.
