Our FinTech and New Economy Committee is delighted to have the presence of Dr. Miles H.F. Wen, CEO & Founder of Fano Labs Ltd, to explore the following topics with us at the webinar entitled “ The Rise of AI in RegTech“.

The discussion will focus on these points:
– The latest developments of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in voice processing
– Various technical challenges faced in the commercial application of voice AI technologies in Hong Kong
– How financial industries are adopting AI
– How financial regulators are planning to adopt voice AI tech for supervisory purposes

  • This webinar is a complimentary event for Society members. A webinar fee HK$150 will apply to registrants who are CFA exam candidates and non-members.
  • To qualify for CPT/CE hours, all participants (members, candidates and non-members) must attend the full webinar. After the webinar, Society staff will verify participants’ check-in and check-out time from the registration system for the purpose of issuing CPT Attendance Letters. No pro-rata credit hours will be awarded.
  • For candidates and non-members, please click the “Register” button above to complete the online payment and registration by 19 Aug 2021. Please note that no registrations will be processed after this date.
  • Upon completion of online registration on Society website, registrants will receive an email notification from info@cfahk.org. Society staff will then verify the registration details, registrant’s identity and payment status. Zoom webinar join link will be emailed to eligible registrants 3 working days before the webinar.

About the Speaker

Dr. Miles H.F. Wen
CEO & Founder, Fano Labs Ltd.
Adjunct Assistant Professor (EEE),
University of Hong Kong

Dr. Miles Wen is CEO and Founder of Fano Labs Limited, a spin-off company from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) that has raised over USD 10 million in venture investment from renowned investors such as Horizons Ventures and Alibaba. Dr. Wen specializes in information and communication technologies, optimisation algorithms, big data, and machine learning and has numerous academic publications and patents. Since 2016, he was appointed as Adjunct Assistant Professor (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) at HKU.

Dr. Wen also actively contributes to the technology ecosystem. He is an active mentor at the iDendron Incubation Program at HKU, Founding Vice President of HKSTP Startups Alumni Association, EEE Industry Advisory Committee Member, School of Engineering, RMIT University, and Member of the Expert Review Panel of Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre.

Dr. Wen received his B.Eng. (CE) with First Class Honors and Ph.D. (EEE) from HKU in 2011 and 2015, respectively. He was also a Fulbright Scholar of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at University of California, Berkeley.
