Despite the backdrop of COVID and ongoing geopolitical tensions, China M&A increased by 30% to US$733.8 billion in 2020, the highest since 2016, driven by strong state and government investment support. Deal volumes increased by 11%, with a significant increase in private equity M&A offset by a decrease in cross-border deals. Deal values held up after a sharp lockdown dip in February 2020, bouncing back strongly over the next few months and significantly surpassing prior year in the second half of 2020.

What were the key drivers underpinning China’s 2020 M&A activity, dynamics, industries and significant trends?

What is our outlook for 2021 and beyond and what are the themes we should look out for in the areas of domestic and cross border M&A, PE activities and IPO market?

  • CPT Attendance Letter is complimentary for Members. NO REQUEST APPLICATION IS NEEDED.
  • If you are a Non-member and would like to request for getting CPT Attendance Letter after the webinar, please click the button below to complete the request application and payment by 18 April 2021.
